Real Estate & Home is the first targeted news product from AP's  Business News division and is the prototype for future business verticals. Lead a team of six, plus freelancers, and coordinate and edit U.S. real estate coverage from bureaus across the country. Created training program to improve reporters' copy. Reported from 16 European countries, covering the biggest stories and compelling trends. Top stories included: the death of Pope John Paul II; the Orange Revolution in Ukraine; the expansion of the European Union; NATO’s role in Afghanistan. Exclusives included Coke's settlement with the European Union. Worked with stringers, assigned and shaped stories.

Business Writer, investing, 2000 - 2002
Broke news on Wall Street and white collar crime. Top stories included a front page scoop on a regulatory sweep of promissory note fraud, which was credited by The New York Times. Also broke the story of a $600 million settlement between HSBC Bank and the Justice Department, which was credited by The Wall Street Journal. Wrote an investigative story about the flaws in how the National Association of Securities Dealers handles investor complaints, and forced the agency to change its policies the night before publication.
